Cleaning Operative (Banking Environment) – Wokingham RG40

Location: Wokingham Berkshire RG40 1AL
Hours: 5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 5:30pm 6:30pm
Pay Rate: 13.65 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting for a professional and reliable Cleaning Operative to work within a secure banking environment in Wokingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cleaner seeking part-time evening work with the opportunity to secure permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out general office and banking environment cleaning duties
  
• Vacuuming mopping dusting and polishing
  
• Cleaning washrooms and staff welfare facilities
  
• Emptying waste and recycling bins
  
• Sanitising high-touch surfaces
  
• Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  
• Following all health & safety procedures and site security protocols
  
• Opening securing and locking premises where required
  
• Working independently within a secure environment
  

Candidate Requirements

• Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred
  
• Ability to work confidently as a lone worker
  
• Comfortable acting as a key holder and operating alarm systems
  
• Excellent attention to detail and reliability
  
• Professional appearance and conduct
  
• Ability to use a telephone-based time and attendance system
  
• Good communication skills
  

Banking Sector Pre-Employment Compliance Requirements

Due to the nature of this role within a secure banking environment successful applicants will be required to complete the following checks prior to commencing employment:

• Basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
  
• Right to Work verification
  
• Adverse financial screening checks
  
• Five-year employment history verification including explanation of any employment gaps
  
• Identity verification checks
  
• Address history verification
  
• Character and reference checks where applicable
  
• Completion of all client-specific security and compliance documentation
