Job description

We have an excellent career opportunity for the role of Live In Carer to join our amazing Home Instead Wakefield branch.

In this job role you will live in a clients home and provide a variety of non-medical services to help them stay independent. For this position a driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required. This is because the client will need to be driven to hospital appointments shopping trips etc.

As a Live In Care professional you have your own room and access to a TV and Wi-Fi. On top of this we offer:

  • Paid monthly at the rate of 130.00 plus a 10.00 a day food allowance during placements
  • 2 weeks on 2 weeks off
  • 2 hour break every day
  • Travel expense contribution
  • Initial and ongoing training (which is paid)

Key responsibilities:

  • Help with everyday tasks such as; meal preparation medication and light housework
  • Accompanying to appointments or shopping
  • Personal care - supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing showering dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent
  • Companionship - ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit.
