Job description
About Animal Trust We are delighted to be preparing for the launch of a brand-new veterinary hospital in Cwmbran, serving the communities of Torfaen and the surrounding areas. We look to open our doors Early 2027. Animal Trust is an independently owned, not‑for‑profit Community Interest Company (CIC) providing accessible, affordable, high-quality veterinary care. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, our hospital will offer continuous patient care and emergency services, supporting both our clients and the wider veterinary community. Our commitment to affordability sets us apart. With free consultations during the day and £79 out-of-hours consultations, we remove barriers that can prevent pet owners from seeking veterinary advice. Combined with our transparent packaged pricing, this allows us to see a varied and rewarding caseload, providing excellent opportunities for our clinical teams to develop their skills and experience. We are seeking inpatient focused registered Veterinary nurses to join our team. In this role you will be taking the lead in caring for patients across both the first opinion and referral sides of the hospital. You’ll ensure every patient receives the very best care, supported by a talented and experienced team of RVNs. Working a rolling 3 week rota you will be on a rotation of 2 weeks on inpatients and one week as a GP RVN which will provide you variety in your role whilst the majority is in an area of interest. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting patients through their treatment and recovery, while being part of a supportive and highly skilled hospital team. The perfect candidate will be an experienced RVN with a keen interest in inpatient/ECC care with great clinical standards. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation and help shape a brand-new hospital from the very beginning. If youre passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and want to make a real difference to pets and their owners, wed love to hear from you. You’ll be confident managing: * Continuous Rate Infusions (CRIs) * Indwelling catheters * A wide variety of complex medical and surgical cases Rota & Hours 38.5-40hr week 1: 3 weekends shift times: 07:00-19:00hrs Salary above based on 40hr week. Benefits * 6 weeks holiday, including bank holidays * CPD funded * 52 Weeks sickness benefit available * Employee assistance program * Enhanced maternity and paternity package * Contributory pension scheme 4% * RCVS and VDS fees paid * Cycle to work scheme * Store discounts with Perkbox * Staff discount (20%) * E-Car Scheme * Refer-a-Friend bonus Closing date for applications 10th August with interviews being held end of August 2026 J-18808-Ljbffr
