You will deliver engaging and challenging lessons that foster a love of literature, language, and critical thinking. Key Responsibilities Teach English across Key Stages 4 and 5 Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to meet a range of abilities Inspire students through creative and stimulating approaches to English Develop students’ analytical, writing, and communication skills Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities Assess and monitor progress, providing clear and constructive feedback Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider school Contribute to extracurricular activities such as reading clubs, writing competitions, or theatre visits The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a teacher who: Is passionate about English and inspiring young people Holds a degree in English or a related subject Has QTS (or an equivalent teaching qualification) Has experience teaching English at KS4 and KS5 Is an engaging and enthusiastic classroom practitioner Builds strong relationships with students and colleagues Is committed to high standards and ongoing professional development Applications are welcome from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
