Graduate Criminology Behaviour Mentor – Newcastle upon Tyne (Full-Time)

Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time Graduate Criminology Behaviour Mentor to work within a specialist SEND and SEMH setting in Newcastle upon Tyne. This role is ideal for graduates considering careers in youth justice, probation, social work, policing or education.
Every learner you'll support has their own journey. Some may struggle to regulate their emotions, while others need help rebuilding confidence after difficult experiences. Your role will be to provide consistency, encouragement and positive role modelling, helping learners develop the skills they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
You'll become part of a supportive team where every achievement is recognised, whether that's improved attendance, greater engagement or a learner simply believing in themselves again.

What we're looking for
You'll be approachable, emotionally resilient and genuinely passionate about helping young people succeed. You'll understand that building trust takes time and be committed to creating positive outcomes through patience and consistency.
Experience working with young people, either through education, youth work, coaching or voluntary roles, would be highly beneficial.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
