Morgan Stanleys Investment Banking Division is seeking an Associate to join our EMEA Emerging Markets Coverage team with a primary focus on Poland / Central Europe.

About The Team:
Morgan Stanleys EMEA Emerging Markets Coverage Team devises and executes innovative customised solutions to our clients most challenging issues. The Group excels in domestic and international / cross-border transactions including acquisitions divestitures mergers joint ventures corporate restructurings recapitalisations spin-offs exchange offers equity & debt capital market transactions leveraged buyouts and takeover defences as well as shareholder relations.
What youll do in the role:
Associates work on assignments which include various types of different transactions (M&A capital markets) and business development projects. Associates will play an important role on teams that include senior professionals who will encourage you to go beyond the numbers and think creatively.
Responsibilities will include:
- Helping to manage / support in the execution of corporate finance transactions (including IPOs M&A strategic advisory).
- Creating and analysing financial models with a high degree of granularity.
- Gathering market data to analyse trends and help value companies and transactions.
- Creating drafting and taking ownership of presentations and memoranda for a wider audience both internally within the firm as well as externally.
- Contributing to team discussions and client meetings.
What youll bring to the role:
- Educated to degree level from a leading university (or equivalent).
- Relevant Investment Banking (corporate finance/M&A) experience or equivalent required.
- Familiarity with the sector and corporate landscape is desirable.
- Fluency in English and Polish required (native / full business professional proficiency). Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Strong analytical and modelling skills.
- Knowledge of accounting and financial concepts; ability to analyse and value businesses.
- Results-driven team player who performs well under pressure and against tight deadlines.
- Commitment to excellence and maintain high professional and ethical standards
