About the Opportunity

Amentum Technology has exciting opportunities for talented and enthusiastic Cost Engineers to strengthen our established capability and support the continued growth of our business.

Were looking for a Cost Engineer who bring a positive proactive cando attitude to their work. Youll thrive here if you enjoy solving problems taking ownership and helping project teams make informed decisions. This role requires the successful candidate to be in the office in Birchwood 2 days per week.

Youll have strong Excel skills confident communication and the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels are essential. If youre someone who likes to get into the detail spot issues early and create clarity from complexity youll fit right in.

You will support Project Managers in delivering projects on time and within budget through rigorous attention to detail and the application of Amentums project controls processes and bestpractice techniques.

Core Project Controls:

• Applying project controls processes and systems

• Project setup closeout and reconciliations

• Ensuring accurate cost allocation

• Cost forecasting and financial analysis

• Monitoring revenue and gross margin

• Ensuring corporate systems accurately reflect project status

• Monitoring aged debt and supporting recovery

• Preparing clientspecific monthly reports

• Producing internal reporting for Operational Project Reviews

• Contributing to and/or attending monthly project meetings

• Supporting bids and proposals

Supporting Project/Programme Managers with:

• Earned value analysis

• Risk and opportunity management

• Programme and resource monitoring

• Preparing change control and early warning notices

• Maintaining quality documentation

• Monitoring key performance indicators

Heres What Youll Need

• A positive proactive cando attitude with the confidence to take ownership and solve problems

• High confidence using Excel including formulas lookups pivot tables data validation and the ability to analyse data and present it clearly

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with project teams and clients

• Be organised reliable and comfortable managing multiple priorities

• Experience in a similar project controls cost engineering or financial role

• Strong mathematical background and high numerical accuracy

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Experience with project controls tools and software
