Job description

Care Practitioner. Manor Park Care Home

  • Hours: Either 22 hours, 33 hours or 44 hours (4 shifts) per week available, according to preference
  • Salary: £13.95 - £14.95 per hour (dependent on whether working day or night)
  • Shift Pattern: both day and night contracts available (either 8am-8pm or 8pm-8am)

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Care Practitioners to join our day team at the brand-new Manor Park Care Home, in the picturesque town of Malton, North Yorkshire.

As a Care Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing. You’ll assist with daily routines, provide personal care, and help create a warm and engaging environment where residents feel valued and safe.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Deliver high-quality personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, and mobility.
  • Support residents with meals, hydration, and social activities to promote wellbeing.
  • Respond promptly and sensitively to call bells and any changes in residents’ conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and handover notes.
  • Uphold infection control and health & safety standards at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with the day team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Help create a positive, stimulating environment through conversation and activities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a care role is desirable.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to overnight care.
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work 12 hour shifts, including alternate weekends.
  • A commitment to delivering person-centred care and maintaining residents’ dignity.

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘STREAM’.
