THE ROLE
\nWe are currently seeking a STRUCTURAL ENGINEER to join our client based in Leeds.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing firm of consulting engineers who offer the right candidates interesting projects to work on and good prospects for promotion.
\nYou will work as a Project Engineer and you are likely to be working towards becoming chartered or incorporated.
\nYou will do design engineering as well as project engineering.
\nYou will be able to work on an interesting range of projects for the built environment.
\nYou will report to a Director.
\n\nTHE CLIENT
\nOur client is a successful, growing firm of consulting engineers who are working on various projects in the built environment.
\nTHE CANDIDATE
\nYou will need to have experience of the following:-
\nYou must have a BSc in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering and possibly also have an MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering would be useful although not essential.
\nYou should have around five years or more post graduate experience gained with a firm of civil / structural consulting engineers.
\nYou are likely to either be working towards becoming chartered or working towards incorporated status.
\nYou will need good broad based structural engineering design experience as well as acting as the Project Engineer.
\nYou should have used structural engineering software e.g. Tekla Structural Designer, Fastrack Portal Frame, CADS Wall Panel and MasterSeries Retaining Wall.
\nGood experience in the use of Excel and TEDDS and experience of detailing packages e.g. AutoCAD & Revit would be preferred too.
\nYou must have worked in the UK for another firm of consulting engineers and have excellent knowledge and experience of using UK codes and regulations.
\nYou must have excellent communication skills - both written and spoken.
\nA full UK driving licence is required.
\nSalary is negotiable and there is an excellent package of company benefits which includes pension, professional fees, private health insurance and more.
