Here at Merton College, we are seeking a Lecturer to provide tutorial and pastoral care for a group or groups of learners with learning disabilities/difficulties and monitor work experience activities.
Youll act as a Course Leader and take responsibility for their study programme and take an active role in all aspects of student assessment and accreditation. Youll take part in curriculum planning and product development as required and deliver and imbed Maths and English to SEND to deliver the Colleges strategic objectives.
As our Lecturer, youll hold a teaching qualification, a degree or equivalent (and relevant) professional qualification in an appropriate subject. and have experience of working with and understanding the needs of SEND. Able to work as part of a team, youll be aware of the current curriculum changes and the implications for SEND learning strategies and reforms. With knowledge and understanding of the changing agenda for SEND learners in further education and the implications that this has for delivery and promotion of learning, youll have experience of curriculum development to meet the changing demands of the Further Education Sector, with evidence of providing effective student support.
