Job Overview
Pulse is currently seeking experienced Band 7 Specialist Pharmacists to join the Older Persons Medicine team at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and develop clinical pharmacy services for older persons medicine
- Provide expert pharmaceutical advice to ensure safe effective and patient-centred care
- Support medicines optimisation and improve outcomes for elderly patients
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across the Trust
- Contribute to clinical governance risk management and service improvement initiatives
- Support education and training within the department
Qualifications and Experience
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Experience working at Band 7 level or equivalent in a hospital setting
- Previous experience in older persons medicine or general medicine (desirable)
- Strong knowledge of medicines optimisation and clinical governance
- Excellent communication organisational and teamwork skills
