Job description

We're currently working with a highly regarded mixed secondary school in Southwark that is looking to appoint a Facilities Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced facilities professional who enjoys improving environments, managing projects, and ensuring everything behind the scenes runs smoothly. Why Professionals Are Excited About This Opportunity ✔ Well-respected secondary school in a fantastic central London location ✔ Opportunity to lead site development and improvement projects ✔ Key role within a supportive and ambitious leadership team ✔ Full-time permanent position ✔ £40,000–£45,000 salary depending on experience The Role As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance, compliance, and security of the school site. Key responsibilities include: Leading planned and preventative maintenance programmes Managing contractors and service agreements Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations Supporting refurbishment and facilities improvement projects Monitoring premises budgets and expenditure Maintaining a safe, secure, and professional learning environment The successful candidate will be proactive, organised, and confident managing a busy site while maintaining high standards across all areas of the school. Previous facilities, estates, premises, or site management experience is essential.
