Position: Drama Teacher Location: Liverpool Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September Key Stages: KS3–KS5 Drama Teaching Role in a University Technical College A forward-thinking University Technical College in Liverpool is seeking to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join its Creative Arts faculty from September. Drama plays an important role in the wider curriculum, helping students develop confidence, communication skills, creativity, collaboration, and presentation techniques that support both academic and professional success. About the Role You will teach Drama across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to explore performance, theatre, and creative expression. Students will study a range of dramatic practitioners, theatrical styles, and performance techniques while developing acting, devising, directing, and evaluative skills. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Drama qualifications while encouraging participation in performances, productions, and creative projects. The role offers opportunities to collaborate with external organisations, local theatres, and industry partners, helping students gain valuable insight into careers within the creative industries. Key Responsibilities Teach Drama across KS3, KS4, and KS5 Deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Drama examinations Direct and support school productions and showcases Assess student work and provide detailed, constructive feedback Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development Organise theatre visits, workshops, and enrichment activities Support students in developing confidence, communication, and performance skills The School Environment This University Technical College in Liverpool provides a dynamic and innovative learning environment where students are encouraged to combine creativity with professional and technical skills.
