Job Description - Senior Claims Specialist PI & Liability

How does this role contribute to our collective success

This role contributes to AXIS collective success through maintaining and promoting a market leading claims service to support clients complex risks and challenges and in so doing to support the retention and acquisition of business.

What will you do in this role

< >Handle professional negligence claims as well as claims for other liability classes for a wide variety of professions and commercial clients written in the Professional Lines Division and reporting to the PI Claims on a lead role within the PI & Liability Team overseeing an allocated line of business coordinating with team members working closely with clients market leaders and brokers as well as managing TPA service providers and external legal advisors to ensure a premier claims service to clients is claims in a lead capacity from first advice to final settlement including full analysis of coverage and liability reserve evaluations formulating resolution strategy and liaising with risk managers in house counsel and Lloyds Syndicate as well as IUA and company with respective underwriters on wording/policy issues provide claims info and attend client meetings as with other stakeholders including claims operations underwriters actuaries and Internal Audit in relation to claims information MI and other projects to elevate claims in dealing with professional negligence claims in either a claims lead or legal advisory written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulately present in to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external to prioritise and organise to exercise sound written and verbal communication skills to liaise with numerous customers both internal and you will have worked in a syndicate company or a broker and gained sufficient practical experience in the market place to independently perform the above duties and of CLASS/ with Excel Word and or professional qualification such ACII.

Role Factors:

In this role you will typically be required to be in the office 3 days per week.
