What we do at Weir
We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver. So, we work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely, and create less waste. Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient, and more sustainable mining.

Quality Assurance:Conduct detailed inspections of quality records, including MTRs, NDE reports, and welding codes, to maintain Weir’s reputation as a top supplier.
Client Coordination:Host client quality representatives during shop visits, coordinate hold and witness inspection points, and manage communication between production, sales, and scheduling.
Daily Operations:Manage inspection releases, generate nonconformance reports, update weld trackers, and assist with hands-on inspections as needed. Collaborate with project managers to meet project quality documentation needs and ensure timely submission of quality packages.
Safety First:Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

What you’ll bring
Must-haves:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical field, or 5 years of relevant quality experience in metal fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of quality documents, MTRs, NDE, and welding codes.
• Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

• Certifications such as EIT with EGBC, CGSB Level 2 MPI/LPI, AMPP CIP (NACE), or First Aid.
• Familiarity with rubber lining, welding, and fabrication codes or specifications.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or shop environment involving welding, fabrication, or rubber lining.

Why join Weir?

We’re passionate about our purpose to help deliver the natural resources that are essential to create a better future for the world.
