Job description
Schools are busy places, and behind every successful school is a dedicated team making sure everything runs exactly as it should. We're currently working with a welcoming mixed secondary school in Southwark that is looking to appoint a Facilities Manager on a full-time, permanent basis. Why Professionals Are Excited About This Opportunity ✔ Friendly and supportive secondary school in central London ✔ Opportunity to make a visible impact across the entire school community ✔ Varied role with a mixture of operational and strategic responsibilities ✔ Full-time permanent position ✔ £40,000–£45,000 salary depending on experience The Role As Facilities Manager, you will lead the day-to-day management of the school site, ensuring facilities are maintained to a high standard and that the school remains safe, secure, and compliant. Key responsibilities include: Managing all aspects of site maintenance and upkeep Coordinating contractors and external suppliers Leading health and safety and compliance procedures Supporting premises improvement projects Managing facilities budgets and procurement Ensuring the site is welcoming, secure, and fit for purpose The school is looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and can confidently manage both people and projects. Previous experience in facilities, premises, estates, or site management is essential.
