Assistant General Manager Jetts Fitness — Clapham Road | Full-Time Jetts Fitness Clapham Road is a 24-hour gym offering a full range of functional, strength and cardio equipment alongside a packed group fitness timetable. We are a growing business with ambitious plans and we are looking for the right person to help us run and grow the Clapham club. We are looking for an Assistant General Manager to work closely alongside the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the club. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants real responsibility, genuine ownership and the opportunity to make a visible impact on club performance. The role You will support the General Manager across all aspects of the club — from membership sales and member experience through to operational standards and team coordination. You will be trusted to lead on shift, make decisions and hold the standard when the GM is not in the building. You will be visible on the floor, engaging with members, supporting the team and ensuring the club is always running to the standard our members expect. Day to day you can expect to be involved in: Driving membership sales — conducting tours, following up on leads and converting prospective members Supporting member retention — engaging with existing members, handling queries and complaints, and re-engaging anyone who has gone quiet Managing payment recovery and arrears as part of the membership process Ensuring the club is always clean, safe and well-presented Supporting and coordinating the wider team on shift Contributing to social media and local marketing activity Deputising for the General Manager when required and taking full responsibility for the club in their absence What we are looking for Experience in a gym, leisure or fitness management role — you have led a team and taken ownership of an environment before Strong sales ability — you are comfortable with the full sales process from first enquiry to close and you lead by example Excellent communication and people skills — you build rapport quickly and handle difficult conversations professionally Someone who takes real ownership — you notice what needs doing and you do it without being asked Organised and reliable with high personal standards A genuine passion for health, fitness and delivering a great member experience Flexible and available across a mix of weekdays, evenings and weekends The package Salary: £30,000 per annum Bonus: Performance-related bonus scheme Hours: 40 hours per week Shifts: A mix of weekdays, evenings and weekends — flexibility is essential Reporting to: General Manager / Directors This is a role for someone who is ready to step up, take on real responsibility and be a driving force in a growing gym.
