The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Garden Maintenance Team Leader to join an established and award-winning landscaping company maintaining some of the most prestigious private gardens across London and the Home Counties.
Based within the M25, this is a full-time permanent position offering a salary of £35,000-£41,000 per annum, depending on experience, together with a company van for work use.
This role is equivalent to a traditional Garden Maintenance Foreman position and is ideal for someone with previous experience leading a horticultural maintenance team who is looking to progress their career.
Working across an impressive portfolio of private gardens, contemporary roof terraces, country estates and high-profile landscape projects, you'll lead a small maintenance team while ensuring exceptional horticultural standards and outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a garden maintenance team across a variety of prestigious sites
- Maintain high-end private gardens, roof terraces, courtyards and country estates
- Carry out lawn care, hedge cutting, pruning, planting, weeding and seasonal horticultural maintenance
- Diagnose plant health issues, pests and diseases and implement appropriate treatments
- Maintain and monitor irrigation systems
- Build strong relationships with clients, delivering exceptional customer service
- Organise daily workloads and ensure projects are completed efficiently
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures
- Operate and maintain a range of horticultural machinery and equipment
- Mentor and develop junior members of the team
- Maintain company vehicles, machinery and tools to a high standard
- Ensure every garden is maintained to the highest possible standard
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' professional gardening experience
- At least 2 years' experience leading a garden maintenance team as a Team Leader, Foreman or Supervisor
- Experience maintaining high-end private gardens
- Strong horticultural knowledge and excellent plant identification skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to motivate and manage a small team
- PA1 & PA6 certificates desirable
- RHS Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) desirable
- Experience operating a wide range of horticultural machinery
- Full UK Driving Licence essential
- Comfortable driving a company van
- Passion for delivering exceptional standards of horticulture
