We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly team in Chesterfield.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HLTA who is passionate about supporting children to achieve their full potential. As part of this role, you will work across multiple settings, so a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.
About the Role
As our HLTA, you will:
- Deliver high-quality learning activities for individuals, small groups and whole classes.
- Provide planned classroom cover in the absence of teachers.
- Support pupils with a range of learning, social and emotional needs.
- Work closely with teachers to plan, deliver and assess learning.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Travel between schools and educational settings across the Chesterfield area as required.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds HLTA status or has relevant qualifications and experience.
- Has experience working within primary schools.
- Is confident leading whole-class learning.
- Can adapt their approach to meet the needs of a diverse range of pupils.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is reliable, flexible and committed to helping children succeed.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own vehicle.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
