What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Production Control Lead, the Manufacturing System Engineer will will be responsible for the development and improvement of existing Production Control systems, processes and procedures to maximize safety, quality and delivery, and to minimise the cost of manufacturing.

What you’ll bring:
Manufacturing Systems & Data
- Maintain and improve production control systems
- Ensure accuracy of BOMs, routings, and inventory data
- Support ERP/MRP system performance and troubleshooting
Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean principles (Kanban, 5S)
- Analyse production data to identify improvements
- Support material flow and PFEP activities
Collaboration
- Work with Production, Engineering, and Quality to resolve issues
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Coordinate engineering changes into production
Operational Support
- Provide day-to-day support to production teams
- Develop and maintain standard processes and procedures
- Monthly inventory control support
Experience & Qualifications:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related discipline OR Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English & Maths (Grade C or above)
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, SIGMANEST or similar)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong IT experience, including using Excel for tracking and reporting
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and data systems
- Clear communicator with good stakeholder engagement skills
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Proactive, adaptable, and results-focused
