Steel Erector / Steel Fitter

Based in or around the Pontefract area, working within the Yorkshire Water region with national coverage support.

In this role, you will work as part of a small team installing access metalwork solutions, primarily (but not exclusively) within the water treatment industry.

What you'll be doing:

• Installing access metalwork across a range of contracts, mainly within the water treatment sector (though not limited to this industry)
• Working from detailed drawings, including marking out and setting out
• Installing and assembling steel sections, open flooring systems, and handrails
• Measuring, cutting, and forming handrail tubing
• Aligning and levelling steelwork prior to fixing
• Drilling and securing steelwork, including fixing handrail systems to concrete

About you:

• Hold a valid CSCS card (including Slinger/Signaller where applicable)
• Confined Space trained
• IPAF certified operator
• Trained in working at height
• City & Guilds Parts , & (or equivalent) preferred
• Abrasive Wheels certification
• Forklift truck and/or telehandler licence
• SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme)
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Hold a valid UK driving licence
• Experience in a similar role or environment
• Strong commitment to health and safety, with knowledge of SSOW and RAMS
