About the Role You will teach History across KS3 KS4 and KS5 covering a range of periods and themes designed to develop analytical writing source evaluation and historical argument. The department supports students aiming for top grades and competitive university courses.
Key Responsibilities
Teach History across KS3 KS4 and KS5
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level History examinations
Develop students essay-writing and source analysis skills
Encourage wider reading and independent historical enquiry
Provide detailed feedback to support progress towards top grades
Contribute to enrichment activities such as historical society or trips

Candidate Requirements
Essential
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong degree-level knowledge of History
Experience teaching History at secondary level
Ability to stretch and challenge high-attaining students
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level History to a range of specifications
Experience supporting Oxbridge or competitive university applications
Interest in leading historical enrichment trips or societies
