Drama ECT

An ambitious Secondary School in Brighton is seeking a professional and highly organised Drama Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join their experienced academic team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-structured and supportive school environment where teaching staff play an essential role in the smooth operation of the school.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional support across multiple key stages and assist senior leaders teaching staff and wider support teams. Responsibilities will include maintaining student progress records updating school tracking systems managing departmental correspondence supporting attendance administration and assisting with the organisation of school productions performance assessments and extracurricular theatre clubs.

You will also support communication with parents students and external agencies while ensuring that information is handled professionally and confidentially at all times. Strong organisational skills are essential as the role requires the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities within a busy school environment.

The school is looking for someone who is proactive reliable and able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative creative faculty. Good IT skills and confidence using staging or multimedia school systems are important alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Previous teaching placement or relevant instructional experience in Drama and Performing Arts

  • Strong organisational and communication skills
