About the Role You will teach English Language and Literature across KS3 KS4 and KS5 with a curriculum designed to challenge high-attaining students and prepare them for demanding examinations and university study.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 KS4 and KS5

• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level English examinations

• Stretch and challenge high-attaining students through ambitious texts and tasks

• Provide detailed feedback to support progress towards top grades

• Support extracurricular activities such as debating or creative writing societies

• Contribute to curriculum and assessment development

Candidate Requirements

Essential

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching English at secondary level

• Ability to challenge and stretch high-attaining students

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level English Literature or Language

• Experience supporting university application preparation

• Interest in leading debating journalism or writing clubs
