QC Scientist
Location: Near Peterborough Cambridgeshire
Job Type: Full-Time Permanent

Talentmark is recruiting for a QC Scientist to join a growing bioscience organisation operating within a GMP-regulated environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical scientist with experience in chromatographic techniques to play a key role in quality control testing supporting the manufacture and processing of high-quality plant-derived active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform analytical testing of plant-derived molecules in accordance with approved SOPs.
  • Prepare working solutions mobile phases standards and laboratory reagents.
  • Maintain accurate GMP-compliant documentation and ensure data integrity requirements are met.
  • Carry out routine maintenance calibration and verification of laboratory instrumentation including GC-MS and HPLC-UV systems.
  • Manage laboratory stock levels and consumables to support uninterrupted testing activities.
  • Support internal audits and regulatory inspections where required.
  • Participate in data review activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with QA Production and other cross-functional teams.
Your Background:
  • Degree-qualified in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline or possess equivalent laboratory experience.
  • Experience working within a regulated laboratory environment ideally GMP.
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques such as HPLC and/or GC-MS.
  • Strong understanding of laboratory safety practices including COSHH risk assessments and PPE requirements.
