Trainee Enforcement Agent Portsmouth

Salary: 25000 base OTE
Contract: Full-time permanent
Location: Portsmouth / Hampshire (field-based)
Training: 12-week paid Academy programme City & Guilds Assured certification

About the role

Our client a major national enforcement and recovery group has launched a brand-new Academy: a 12-week paid training programme that turns motivated people into qualified Resolution Specialists certified to City & Guilds Assured standard. Youll start on 25000 base with realistic OTE of once youre certified and walk away with a recognised qualification thats yours to keep.

This isnt bailiff work as you might imagine it. Its a regulated professional field-based role where every day is different visiting properties having grown-up conversations helping resolve cases on behalf of local councils. Youll be fully trained supported and have a vehicle.

What youll be doing

  • Visiting properties on a managed Portsmouth / Hampshire patch to engage with people on warrants issued by local councils
  • Resolving cases through professional dialogue and de-escalation empathy judgement and good communication are at the heart of this role
  • Managing your own caseload independently with the support of an experienced enforcement manager
  • Recording outcomes and submitting accurate reports through our clients systems
  • Following all relevant legislation and the companys own conduct standards

Youd suit this if youve worked in

  • Retail or hospitality (duty manager shift supervisor branch manager) you already handle difficult situations professionally
  • Contact-centre or customer service (especially complaints or escalations) you already know how to de-escalate
  • Ex-military ex-police ex-PCSO ex-prison service your skills transfer directly
  • Collections debt recovery civil enforcement or debt advice this is the field-based step up
  • Self-employed driving courier taxi or roadside roles same independence with a salary and a career

What you need

  • Full UK manual driving licence (essential)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to undergo DBS County Court Judgment checks
  • Comfortable working unsociable hours (typically between 6am and 9pm) and the occasional weekend
  • The right temperament calm professional empathetic resilient
