A forward-thinking Secondary Academy in Manchester is seeking a professional and highly organised Media Studies Teacher to join their experienced creative arts and communication team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-structured and supportive school environment where teaching staff play an essential role in the smooth operation of the school.
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day instructional support across Key Stages 4 and 5 specializing in media narrative analysis marketing structures audio-visual production and digital journalism. Responsibilities will include maintaining student progress records updating school tracking systems managing departmental correspondence supporting attendance administration and assisting with the organisation of practical production workshops student-led film showcases and external broadcast industry link days.
You will also support communication with parents students and external creative partners while ensuring that information is handled professionally and confidentially at all times. Strong organisational skills are essential as the role requires the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities within a busy school environment.
The school is looking for someone who is proactive reliable and able to guide students through both technical production frameworks and advanced theoretical critique while working as part of a collaborative creative faculty. Good IT skills and deep confidence using video editing suites and digital media platforms are important alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous teaching or relevant instructional experience in Media Studies or Film up to GCSE/A-Level
Strong organisational and communication skills
Good IT and data management skills
Professional and proactive approach to digital media workflows and software management
