Job description
A specialist SEN setting in Clapham Lambeth is looking for a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex additional needs. This is a hands-on SEN role for someone confident supporting pupils with more complex needs. This is a practical hands-on support role. The school needs someone caring resilient and confident working with pupils who may need communication support sensory support personal care or structured routines. What the role involves: - Supporting pupils with complex needs ASD PMLD or EHCP-linked needs - Helping pupils access learning and daily routines - Working closely with SEN teachers therapists and support staff - Providing consistent patient and reliable support What they are looking for: - SEN care support work school or youth work experience - Someone comfortable with practical support - Patience resilience and strong communication - A person who can stay calm and consistent throughout the day Pay: 95 - 120 per day Location: Clapham Lambeth (SW2 1RW) Start date: September 2026 Apply now if you are securing a long-term September role.

Postgraduate qualification or accredited training in SEND (e.g. National Award for SEN Coordination Autism Education Trust dyslexia/SpLD or SEMH)Proficiency in alternative/augmentative communication methodsMakaton PECS AAC using evidence-based interventions such as TEACCH SCERTS or Positive Behaviour in Team-Teach MAPA or similar de-escalation and safe-handling with assistive ed-tech tools and adaptive software
