Commercial Valuation Surveyor Midlands, Covering East & West Midlands - £60,000 - £70,000 + Benefits
The Job:
We are working on behalf of a long established and highly respected property consultancy to recruit a Commercial Valuation Surveyor based from their Rugby office. This is an excellent opportunity for an MRICS or FRICS qualified surveyor to join a growing commercial property team, delivering a wide range of valuation instructions across the East and West Midlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking RICS Red Book valuations for secured lending, financial reporting and other professional purposes, while building strong relationships with clients and supporting the continued growth of the valuations department.
Working across a varied commercial property portfolio including industrial, retail and office assets, you will play a key role in providing professional advice and delivering high quality valuation reports to a diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake RICS Red Book valuations for secured lending, financial reporting and other professional purposes
- Conduct property inspections, measurements and site assessments
- Carry out market, demographic and economic research to support valuation reports
- Complete planning, statutory and leasehold enquiries
- Analyse comparable evidence and market data
- Prepare accurate, detailed and client focused valuation reports
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with lenders, private clients and professional advisers
- Build and maintain knowledge of the industrial, retail and office property sectors
- Identify new business opportunities and support the growth of the valuation department
- Ensure compliance with internal quality assurance procedures and RICS standards
- Achieve agreed departmental and individual performance targets

The Candidate
- MRICS or FRICS qualified with RICS Registered Valuer status
- Degree qualified in a property related discipline
- Minimum 3 years' post qualification experience within commercial property valuation
- Proven experience valuing industrial, retail and office properties
- Strong knowledge of valuation methodologies and secured lending requirements
- Excellent report writing, analytical and research skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience managing a varied workload independently and meeting deadlines
- Strong communication and relationship building skills with a client focused approach
- High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and property software systems
- Clean Professional Indemnity record
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Experience of secured lending valuations, development appraisals, tax related valuations or residential valuation work would be advantageous
The Package:
- Salary of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum DOE

Candidate Requirements
All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
