Job description

Level 3 Nursery Practitioner – Full‑time, temporary to permanent (from September 2026) The inspection report highlights a caring and well‑established early years environment where children feel safe, settled, and well supported. Staff provide nurturing interactions and consistent routines that promote children’s personal, social, and early learning development. Leadership places strong emphasis on children’s welfare and creates a welcoming, supportive setting for both children and families. This Level 3 Nursery Practitioner role offers the opportunity to work full time within a supportive early years setting on a temporary to permanent basis. The Level 3 Nursery Practitioner will play a key role in supporting children’s learning, development, and well‑being through high‑quality care and engaging early years practice. This role is ideal for a qualified practitioner seeking stability, progression, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position from September 2026. Responsibilities * Support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. * Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children. * Plan and support age‑appropriate, play‑based learning activities. * Observe, assess, and contribute to children’s developmental records. * Support children’s personal care, routines, and well‑being. * Promote positive behaviour, social interaction, and emotional development. * Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain consistent routines. * Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff. * Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and early years policies at all times. Qualifications * Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential). * Experience working in a nursery or early years setting. * Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development. * Caring, patient, and nurturing approach. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Reliable and committed to a full‑time role. * Willingness to start on a temporary basis with the aim of becoming permanent. * Strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare. Salary & Benefits Your salary will be dependent on experience and is paid weekly through PAYE. No self‑employed or umbrella companies are accepted.
