Employer Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust Employer type NHS Site Neurodiversity Centre, Town Doncaster Salary £49,387 - £56,515 Per annum Salary period Yearly Closing 04/08/2026 23:59 NHS AfC: Band 7 Job overview To provide a high-quality specialist ADHD service to patients and their families across RDASH services. T he post holder will be a prescriber for initiation, titration and ongoing management of ADHD treatment Main duties of the job To provide comprehensive expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of Adults with ADHD across the RDASH localities. Review with others the assessment and monitoring of adults identified with ADHD. Provide direct nursing judgement and treatment interventions based on skills and knowledge regarding clinical management and educational management of adults with ADHD. Exercise Independent prescribing rights using guidelines and protocols Ensure that the patient’s interests are fully considered within the context of care, actively participating in ethical decision making within the multi-disciplinary team. Exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge of patients. To undertake risk assessments and risk management for individuals and their families. To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and issues in relation to ADHD. To provide high quality support and advice to health and other professionals To supervise the implementation and monitoring of new developments in ADHD. To promote and co-ordinate the implementation of shared care arrangements. Facilitate the resolution of potentially conflicting and antagonistic opinions of stakeholders in order that a collaborative approach is received by the service user and their family. Knowledge * Ability to prioritise busy workload/caseload. * Use the full range of person-centred alternative and argumentative communication strategies * Able to cope with stressful situations and remain positive in the face of clinical pressures * Evidence of knowledge pertaining to policy drivers locally and nationally * Ability to contribute to development of service delivery Skills/ Abilities * Clinical/risk assessment and care/treatment planning * Manage own caseload * Able to develop effective working relationships with patients/carers/other staff * Ability to promote a positive, person-centred culture based upon recovery approaches involving patients/carers in decision making * Ability to work across the service when required, working within own competencies. * Experience in supporting people with mental health and learning disabilities. * Experience in supporting people with substance misuse Please note, not all vacancies or applications are eligible for sponsorship.
