Masstemps are currently recruiting for a full time, long term temporary financial accountant to join one of our busy clients based in the heart of Kidderminster.
Job Purpose:
o Provision of financial and non-financial information to management for decision making
o Supporting the Finance & HR Director through taking ownership of the following business processes whilst adhering to regulatory compliance, accounting standards and meeting relevant deadlines
o Management Accounts
o VAT
Key responsibilities and duties:
o Preparation of all schedules for management accounts including accruals & prepayments
o Variance analysis and explanations
o Preparation of management accounts for final review with line manager
o Responsible for producing Balance Sheet Reconciliations and resolving any erroneous entries
o Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register & depreciation
o Completion of the Annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting
o Reporting on ONS Statistics
o Posting of relevant journals required for month end process
o Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT return
o Provision of monthly statistics
o Working with team to improve automation of internal processes
Qualifications required/ desirable:
o AAT or Part Qualified or equivalent
o Computer literate and confident with numbers.
o Willing to work with others to develop and improve processes.
Salary:
£35,000 - £40,000 pa
Working hours:
Monday to Thursday 8am - 16.45pm and Friday 8am - 12.15pm
