Job description
Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Part-time (2–3 days per week), Permanent Salary: Paid to scale, pro-rata A forward-thinking 11-16 secondary school in Staffordshire is seeking a part-time French Teacher to join its Modern Foreign Languages department. This flexible role would suit a teacher looking for a reduced timetable within a school that takes a genuinely creative approach to language teaching. You will teach French across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Edexcel), with the school's MFL department placing a strong emphasis on communication, confidence, and cultural understanding rather than rote learning. The role includes contributing to the department's annual languages celebration week, helping to plan curriculum resources, and maintaining accurate assessment records on your working days. Where your timetable allows, there may also be opportunities to support the school's lunchtime French conversation club.
