Job description

Who we are looking for

Business Operations Analyst, EMEA reporting to the Head of EMEA, Charles River Development.

The role is being created to provide a business operations and administrative support function to help manage the growth occurring within CRD in EMEA while supporting appropriate risk and governance controls. The individual will support control and reporting on projects running in the region across sales, relationship management, professional services and operations.

The role will also require the incumbent to coordinate projects and work with virtual teams across functions to deliver against pre-designed objectives and metrics supporting the Head of EMEA and broader EMEA Management Committee members. They will collaborate with partner functions across State Street, especially the Alpha teams, to support mutual client projects, resource planning, programme management and change control.

The individual will collaborate across other matrix environments including HR, Marketing and Legal to build dashboards and management information consolidated from multiple existing databases across teams and functions.

In support of the region’s business priorities, they will use their skills to analyse reporting information and trend data, improve transparency on project governance across diverse teams, and help create decision-making tools for regional leadership.

Why this role is important to us

Charles River Development (or CRD) was acquired by State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, which was launched in 2019. CRD in EMEA is rapidly emerging as a business with strong growth and is at inflection point where key process enhancements are needed to successfully scale the business through this period of intense growth.

What you will be responsible for

As Business Operations Analyst, EMEA you will

  • Collaborate broadly across CRD EMEA functions and other regions, and support coordination with State Street Alpha
  • Maintain frequent communication and foster strong collaboration with internal teams to gather key management information and support leadership decision making through clear and transparent reporting
  • Coordinate and support individual projects as specified by the Head of CRD in EMEA
  • Support the evolution of the business by researching and providing insights on industry trends, regulatory environments, client feedback, revenue opportunities and competitive analysis, alongside building business dashboards and management information

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

  • Specific knowledge of the investment industry (e.g., financial instruments, workflows, major players, trends, etc.)
  • Understanding and practical use of AI tools to derive insights and create content such as reports and presentations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders
  • Sound business judgment and ability to work through complex business issues with guidance where appropriate
  • Strong data interpretation and analysis skills, with the ability to translate disparate data points into trends, key reporting metrics and insights to support regional objectives
  • Ability to produce high quality management information/dashboards for wider leadership and information sharing
  • Experience in coordinating complex projects and strong collaboration skills to maximise progress within each project

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in a business or technical field such as Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • 5+ years’ experience within the Financial Services / Software industry, preferably with experience in consultancy, business analysis or project delivery
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and proven organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Confidence in presentation skills
