Job description
Overview Are you an experienced ECC Veterinary Surgeon looking for a role that offers both professional fulfilment and an excellent quality of life? Join the dynamic team at a bustling 24/7 hospital, where you’ll work weekend day shifts and be part of a supportive, collaborative environment. Why This Role Stands Out This position offers a unique blend of hands‑on clinical work and a balanced lifestyle. You’ll be primarily focused on inpatient care and case workups, with a smaller portion of consulting duties. The hospital provides out‑of‑hours services for around 40 local practices, ensuring a diverse and stimulating caseload that includes complex medical and surgical cases. Team and Support You will never work alone. Each shift includes up to three other vets, along with a robust team of RVNs, ACAs and receptionists. The fast‑paced environment requires confidence and strong clinical decision‑making skills, but you’ll always have the support you need. Flexible Working Pattern Available * Standard Schedule: 2 x 12‑hour shifts every other weekend (average 12 hours per week) * Bank Holidays: 4 per year * Flexible Options: 1 x 12‑hour shift every other week * Flexible Options: 2 x 12‑hour shifts every fourth weekend This flexibility makes the role ideal whether you’re seeking a standalone weekend rota or looking to diversify your current weekday position.
