Job description
CAMHS Consultant Full time – 37.5 hours per week Beds – Up to 12 CAMHS beds Support – FT dedicated Specialty Doctor & MDT On calls – TBC Salary – £180,880 per annum Key responsibilities Clinical * Acting as Consultant and Responsible Clinician for CAMHS inpatients * Leading on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning process * Working collaboratively with patients, carers, and external agencies * Chairing MDT and CPA meetings * Preparing reports for Mental Health Act Tribunals and Managers Hearings * Contributing to clinical governance and continuous service improvement Management * Providing clinical leadership in partnership with the Ward Manager * Supporting regulatory compliance and quality standards on the ward * Attending monthly CAMHS governance meetings and contributing to service development Academic * Participating in monthly academic meetings * Delivering case presentations and teaching sessions * Engaging in audit, research, and quality improvement projects What we’d like to give you * A competitive salary. * 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing by a further 2 days after 5 year’s service.) * Opportunities to develop and progress in a wide variety of caresettings. * Free Parking on site. * Subsidised meals on duty. * Enhanced maternity pay. * Disclosure check cost coverage. * Comprehensive induction and commitment to ongoing training. * Online benefits and cashback rewards. * Cycle to work scheme. * Contributory pension scheme. * Refer a friend bonuses. * Long service awards. What we require You will hold a CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant areas of Psychiatry and will have experience of working in inpatient and outpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties. You will have experience at consultant level psychiatry and will have held a consultant position in the NHS. You will hold a current license to practice and be on the appropriate specialist register. Local Area Information The city has excellent transport links, including a direct train line to London Liverpool Street, with a journey time of around 35 minutes and Stansted Airport within easy reach. The area boasts many Primary and Secondary Schools with an OFSTED rating of Outstanding.
