Our amazing team at Furze Hill House Care Home provide a loving and caring environment for our residents, whilst maintaining the Christian ethos that is so important to them. The health, well-being and happiness of our residents are of primary importance to us. We are a 40 bed care home just on the outskirts of North Walsham.
We’re now looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our Ancillary Team. This is more than just a job, it’s a chance to make a real difference every day. From supporting meal preparation to helping create a welcoming home, your role will be an important part of our residents’ daily lives.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparing and serving meals and refreshments
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Support safe food storage and temperature recording
- Deliver meals to family members with a friendly, caring approach
- Work alongside the Catering Supervisor to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Contribute to a positive, homely environment in line with our care values
We offer a full induction to the work and also provide other training as required by the post.
About you:
- You need to be someone who enjoys working with older people and can have an empathy with them;
- You need to be able to operate laundry equipment in a safe and reliable manner
- You need to be able to work as part of a team in order to provide an excellent service to our residents; and
- You must be a well-organised, practical and adaptable person.

Hours:
Shifts available: 35 hours per week or 28 hours per week (includes some weekend shifts)
