The Job:
To oversee and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the farm, including flock health and welfare, team performance, biosecurity compliance and the achievement of production targets in line with company standards and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the day to day operations of the farm
- Ensure production targets and egg quality standards are consistently achieved
- Monitor flock health, performance and compliance with animal welfare standards
- Maintain strict biosecurity procedures at all times
- Lead, motivate and develop the farm team
- Plan work schedules and ensure effective use of labour and resources
- Oversee feeding, watering, ventilation, lighting and other farm systems, coordinating maintenance and repairs as required
- Work closely with veterinarians, technical specialists and other stakeholders
- Monitor key production performance indicators and implement improvements where necessary
- Prepare reports and provide regular updates to senior management
- Support audits, inspections, and farm development projects

A leading egg production business in the UK. Delivers high quality egg products through operational excellence, innovation, sustainability and the highest standards of animal welfare. As part of the continued growth and investment in production, they are seeking an experienced and results driven Farm Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient day to day running of the farm, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare, biosecurity and production performance are consistently met.

The Candidate:
- Higher or vocational qualification in Agriculture, Animal Science, Veterinary Science or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in agricultural operations, farm management, production or a related environment (poultry or egg production experience is an advantage)
- At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role
- Strong understanding of biosecurity, animal welfare and health & safety standards
- Excellent organisational and decision making skills
- Strong communication, planning and leadership abilities
- Good written and spoken English
- Must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom
- Full UK driving licence required
- Willingness to work in an agricultural environment and be available outside standard working hours when necessary
