Job description
General Practice Surveyor Location: Essex Package: £45,000 - £55,000 Beach Baker is delighted to be instructed on an opportunity to recruit an experienced Surveyor to join a well‑established and highly regarded independent property consultancy. About the Role This is an excellent opportunity for a Surveyor with strong Landlord & Tenant expertise to take on a key role within a busy and growing practice. The position will be primarily focused on rent reviews, lease renewals and strategic landlord and tenant advice, acting for a wide range of clients across retail, office and industrial assets. While the core of the role is L&T, you will also gain exposure to agency, valuations and general professional work, providing a well‑rounded general practice environment. You will play a central role in delivering high‑quality advice to clients, managing instructions from start to finish, and contributing to the continued growth of the professional services offering. Why Consider This Role? * Strong focus on Landlord & Tenant work with an existing and growing pipeline of instructions * Opportunity to take ownership of client relationships and professional work * Varied general practice exposure alongside a clear L&T specialism * Established and respected independent consultancy * Supportive and collaborative team environment * Clear progression opportunities within a growing business What Youll Be Doing * Advising landlords and tenants on rent reviews and lease renewals, including negotiations and settlements * Providing strategic asset management advice to maximise value * Managing L&T instructions from inception through to completion * Undertaking property inspections and analysis to support negotiations * Supporting wider professional work, including valuations and general advisory * Assisting with agency instructions on disposals and acquisitions where required * Building and maintaining strong client relationships * Producing high‑quality reports and professional advice What Theyre Looking For * Proven experience within Landlord & Tenant surveying * Background in general practice, agency or professional services * Strong negotiation and advisory skills * MRICS / AssocRICS desirable but not essential * Commercially minded with a proactive, client‑focused approach * Ability to manage instructions independently * Full UK driving licence Package & Details * Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 * Full‑time, Monday to Friday * Commission and bonus scheme * Pension * Ongoing professional development and CPD support * Excellent long‑term progression and development opportunities J-18808-Ljbffr
