Quantum Care is a no‑for‑profit organisation supporting over 2,000 older people across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex. Our mission is simple: to help our residents live well, with dignity, comfort and joy. To do that, we need people who care as much as we do and Make Every Day Matter.

We are seeking an Activity Care Assistant to join our welcoming Care Home Beane River View nestled in the beautiful market town of Hertford. Beane River View is a quiet 40 bed residential care home surrounded by its beautiful tranquil gardens, offering a warm, welcoming environment where dedicated professionals can make a genuine difference every day.

As an Activity Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person-cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

  • Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365-day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
  • You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.
  • Have good computer skills

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise and deliver a variety of engaging activates and social events for residents
  • Utilise the resources and computer to plan and inform families on resident activities
  • Work closely with the care team to ensure activities are tailored to residents' physical, emotional and cognitive needs.
  • Encourage residents to pursue their hobbies, interests and personal goals.
  • Help create a stimulating, safe and welcoming environment for all residents.
  • Support special events, celebrations, themed days and seasonal activities within the home.
  • Ensure all activities comply with health, safety and safeguarding policies.
  • Promote dignity, respect, choice and person-centred care at all times.

Why Join Quantum Care?

We value our teams and invest in their wellbeing, growth and success. In return for your dedication, you’ll receive:

  • Free Employee Assistance Programme offering 24/7 support
  • Company pension scheme (after 1 year of service)

  • A supportive, values‑driven workplace where your contribution truly matters
