The Opportunity

As Marketing Manager, you will lead the development and execution of the company's marketing strategy, ensuring all activity aligns with wider business objectives and supports growth across domestic and international markets.

Working closely with senior leadership and commercial teams, you will oversee multi-channel marketing campaigns, strengthen market positioning, drive lead generation, and enhance brand visibility across key sectors.

This is a highly influential role offering the opportunity to shape marketing direction, contribute to commercial success, and play a key role in supporting growth within a rapidly evolving and innovative industry.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned to business and sales objectives

• Lead the marketing function and drive continuous improvement across all marketing activities

• Support business growth through targeted marketing initiatives and strategic planning

• Ensure brand consistency and messaging across all channels and communications

Campaign Management & Demand Generation

• Plan, deliver, monitor, and optimise integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels

• Develop lead generation strategies that support sales and commercial objectives

• Manage advertising campaigns and promotional activity to maximise engagement and return on investment

• Analyse campaign performance and implement improvements based on results

Digital Marketing & Brand Development

• Oversee website management, content strategy, and overall online presence

• Drive digital marketing activity including SEO, content marketing, email marketing, and social media initiatives

• Enhance brand visibility and strengthen market positioning across target sectors

• Ensure digital platforms effectively support customer engagement and lead generation

Events & Industry Engagement

• Manage and deliver trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, and industry events

• Coordinate marketing support for customer-facing activities and business development initiatives

• Represent the business at key industry events where required

• Maximise opportunities for brand exposure and relationship building

Market Research & Commercial Insight

• Conduct market, competitor, and industry research to identify emerging trends and opportunities

• Monitor developments across the energy, power generation, battery storage, and low-carbon sectors

• Provide insights and recommendations to support business planning and commercial decision-making

• Identify opportunities to strengthen competitive positioning and market presence

Budget Management & Reporting

• Manage marketing budgets effectively and ensure spend delivers measurable results

• Monitor return on investment across all marketing activities

• Produce regular performance reports for senior leadership teams

• Present marketing results, insights, and recommendations to key stakeholders

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

✔ Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline

OR

✔ Equivalent professional marketing experience

Essential Experience

✔ Proven experience in a senior marketing position or standalone marketing role

✔ Demonstrable success developing and implementing marketing strategies aligned with sales and commercial objectives

✔ Experience planning, delivering, monitoring, and optimising marketing and advertising campaigns

✔ Strong digital marketing experience, including:

• Website management

• Content marketing

• Online brand development

• Digital campaign management

✔ Proven experience organising and managing:

• Trade shows

• Exhibitions

• Conferences

• Industry events

✔ Experience managing marketing budgets and reporting on return on investment

✔ Experience conducting:

• Market research

• Industry analysis

• Competitor research

✔ Experience presenting marketing performance and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders

✔ Previous experience managing or leading a marketing function or department

✔ Full UK driving licence

Working Hours

Monday - Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm

Friday: 8:30am - 4:00pm
