Salary:£12.71-13.71phr depending on experience

Location: Leeds LS2

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate support to individuals experiencing homelessness, assisting them in accessing accommodation, healthcare, and other essential services.
  • Conduct needs assessments and develop personalised support plans tailored to each client's circumstances.
  • Offer emotional support and guidance to help clients build confidence and independence.
  • Assist clients in developing life skills, including budgeting, cooking, and maintaining personal hygiene.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including healthcare providers, housing services, and social services, to coordinate support efforts.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case records in accordance with organisational policies and data protection regulations.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Promote a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a social care, housing, or support environment, preferably with vulnerable populations.
  • Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and the ability to recognise and respond to safeguarding concerns appropriately.
  • Empathy, patience, and resilience to support clients through challenging circumstances.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are desirable but not essential.
