Job description
Every successful school has a strong team behind the scenes making sure everything runs smoothly. This Outstanding secondary school in Reading is looking to appoint an experienced School Business Manager to lead finance, operations, HR, and premises management across the school. The School This oversubscribed 11–18 secondary school educates over 1,700 students and has developed an excellent reputation for academic achievement, behaviour, and staff wellbeing. Leadership is highly visible and supportive, and support staff are genuinely valued as part of the wider school community. Staff retention is strong, and many colleagues have built long-term careers within the school. The Role Working closely with the Headteacher and senior leaders, you will oversee financial planning, budget management, estates, compliance, HR processes, and operational strategy. This is a varied and influential position offering the opportunity to make a real impact across the school.
