Job description
An independent school in Birmingham is seeking an engaging History Teacher to join its department from September. This full-time role offers the opportunity to teach within a school that values intellectual curiosity, debate, and a strong grounding in historical skills. About the Role You will teach History across KS3, KS4, and KS5, covering British, European, and world history with an emphasis on source analysis, argument, and independent thinking. Small class sizes allow for close engagement with students' written work. Key Responsibilities Teach History across KS3, KS4, and KS5 Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level History examinations Develop essay-writing, source evaluation, and critical thinking skills Provide detailed feedback to support progress and exam preparation Contribute to enrichment activities such as historical talks or trips Take part in curriculum review and development The School Environment This independent school in Birmingham offers excellent resources, small class sizes, and a culture that encourages staff to bring their own interests into the curriculum.
