Job description
An inclusive secondary school in Staffordshire is looking for a creative Drama Teacher to join its Performing Arts team from September. This full-time role is suited to a practitioner who enjoys using drama to build confidence, empathy, and communication skills. About the Role You will teach Drama across KS3 and KS4, with the curriculum designed to develop both performance skills and critical understanding of theatre. The role includes opportunities to lead extracurricular productions and workshops. Key Responsibilities Teach Drama across KS3 and KS4 Prepare students for GCSE Drama examinations Plan practical, workshop-based lessons that build confidence and teamwork Support and direct whole-school productions and performance events Assess practical and written coursework Contribute to extracurricular drama and performing arts clubs The School Environment The school values the arts as central to students' personal development, with a Performing Arts faculty that works closely together on shared events and productions. Staff benefit from a dedicated performance space and a collaborative team culture. Candidate Requirements Essential Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience teaching Drama at secondary level Confidence delivering practical, workshop-based lessons Strong behaviour management skills in performance spaces Desirable Experience teaching GCSE Drama (AQA or Eduqas) Experience directing school productions Interest in running extracurricular performance clubs How to Apply If you are interested in this Drama Teacher role in Staffordshire starting in September, please submit your CV.
