Job description
An independent school in Nottinghamshire is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic English Teacher to join its department from September. This full-time role is within a nurturing school that places great emphasis on developing confident communicators and lifelong readers. About the Role You will teach English Language and Literature across KS3, KS4, and KS5, with small class sizes allowing for close attention to individual progress. The department encourages wide reading, creative writing, and rich classroom discussion. Key Responsibilities Teach English Language and Literature across KS3, KS4, and KS5 Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level English examinations Foster a love of reading through varied and ambitious text choices Provide detailed, individualised feedback to support progress Contribute to extracurricular opportunities such as creative writing or public speaking Take part in departmental curriculum development The School Environment This independent school offers a supportive, academically ambitious setting with excellent resources and small teaching groups.
