Salary: Pay to scale from day one (£174.71 - £270.94)

We are looking for a passionate and adaptable Criminology Teacher to take on term cover from September through to the end of the autumn term in December. The cover is for Egglescliffe School and Sixth Form College - a highly successful, outstanding-rated, inclusive school which strives to ensure all students make exceptional progress whilst prioritising their personal development and wellbeing.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging Criminology lessons at A-Level (Key Stage 5)
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Differentiate learning to support students of varying abilities and backgrounds
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teams to promote positive outcomes for students
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic progress

Who We're Looking For

  • Qualified teacher with the ability to teach Criminology at A-Level
  • ECTs/NQTs are very welcome
  • Previous experience teaching Criminology or a related subject such as Sociology, Law, or Psychology, ideally within a secondary or sixth form setting
  • Confident classroom presence and strong subject knowledge
  • Reliable, flexible, and professional
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • An up-to-date DBS or the willingness to obtain one
  • Satisfactory background screening

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
