Job description
Science Teacher – High-Achieving Secondary School in Leeds Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: Paid to scale Science Teacher A high-achieving Secondary School in Leeds is seeking a committed and well-organised Science Teacher to join its thriving Science department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a forward-thinking school that places a strong emphasis on academic excellence and practical scientific learning. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential responsibility for A-Level classes depending on experience. You will support the department in tracking student progress, preparing assessment materials, and contributing to the development of innovative practical experiments. You will also play a key role in maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement, ensuring students are supported to achieve their full potential in Science. Strong classroom management skills and a passion for inspiring curiosity in scientific learning are essential. The school offers excellent facilities, including modern laboratories and well-resourced teaching spaces, as well as strong support for staff development and career progression. School Information This is a successful 11–18 secondary school in Leeds with a strong reputation for academic achievement and a well-established Science faculty.
