This is a fantastic opportunity to join Ceaton Security Services, a well-established Cardiff-based business with over 30 years experience in the Automation, Fire & Security industry and now proudly part of the Senseco Group. As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Automatic Door Installation & Service Engineer to support our expanding operations.

You'll work across a wide range of automation systems - from automatic doors to speed lanes, gates, bollards, barriers, and roller shutters - delivering high-quality installation, commissioning, servicing, and repair work. What you will be doing

• Installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing automatic doors and associated automation systems
• Working across a variety of technologies including speed lanes, gates, bollards, barriers, and roller shutters
• Participating in the oncall rota as part of the engineering team
• Delivering high-quality service on customer sites, ensuring systems are safe, compliant, and fully operational
• Supporting the wider engineering team with technical queries and site requirements

A typical week might include:

• Installing a new automatic door system for a commercial client
• Servicing and repairing automation equipment across South Wales
• Commissioning speed lanes or access-controlled entrances
• Responding to callouts and resolving system faults
• Carrying out planned maintenance and compliance checks

Who we are looking for

Were looking for a skilled engineer with strong technical knowledge, a proactive approach, and pride in delivering excellent work.

Essential:

• Minimum 3 years experience working with automatic doors
• Basic understanding of electrical works
• Full UK driving licence
• No criminal record
• Ability to complete and pass full security vetting

Desirable:

• Experience with other automation systems (gates, barriers, shutters, bollards)
• ADSA BS/EN16005 certification
• IPAF licence
• Strong customer-service approach and clear communication skills
