KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS Curriculum Design & Instruction: Plan, resource, and deliver highly structured, evidence-based English lessons that engage and challenge pupils across all academic profiles. Textual Analysis & Literacy Expansion: Guide pupils through the mechanics of complex prose, poetry, and drama, embedding sophisticated frameworks for analytical essay writing, structural critique, and vocabulary acquisition. Examination Preparation: Guide Key Stage 4 cohorts systematically through the demands of terminal GCSE English Language and English Literature specifications, maximising progress and attainment outcomes. Progress Monitoring: Implement rigorous formative marking and summative assessment routines, utilising tracking data to design sharp, targeted interventions that close learning gaps. Pastoral Responsibilities: Undertake full form tutor duties, managing daily registration, monitoring pupil attendance, and delivering the school's structured personal and social development units.
